after being behind the mic for nearly 25 years, Australian radio announcer David ‘christo’ christopher is keen to get his own music onto the wireless.
ok, yes, there was a hilariously blonde-tipped failed attempt at being a pop star in his teens/ early 20’s…
But this time, he thinks he’s onto something. with this album.
christo as BNPK sought out inspiring and talented independent hip-hop artists around the world and asked them to collab.

the album name - your condo is ugly - references the current state of the music industry.
“the house that music built is ugly at the moment,” christo says. “artists have to rely too much on the algorithm to get their music heard and even if they succeed, there’s no money in it.
“actual artists are now competing against fake, AI-generated bands and real talent is getting lost in the abyss.”
with YCIU, he hopes to elevate some of that talent. the album features 10 acts, all trying to make a name for themselves in music, backed by bnpk’s raw hip hop beats.
